Very Fruity Smoothie
I usually like to treat myself every once in a while with a nice cup of smoothie … its more like a meal for me .. a very delicious simple breakfast … and pretty healthy too … any blend of fruits will do for me .. i just keep in mind which one have stronger flavor and add accordingly .. i dont like one fruit to overtake the whole taste … so this is one of the blends that i usually make .. its very easy and i use frozen fruits in it which makes it much easier … to make it you will need:
- 1 cup strawberries .. i used frozen
- 1 cup blueberries … i used frozen
- 3 to 4 slices of pineapple … i usually use fresh but this time i used the canned ones
- 1 banana
- 1 cup apple juice

In a blender add all the fruits .. and if you are using canned pineapple like i did then add around 1/2 cup of the juice inside the can …

Add the apple juice … then blend everything together until its smooth …

If you find it to be too thick then add more apple juice … but actually i like mine a little thick …

Thats it … pour the smoothie into cups and serve …
Enjoy

Your recipe looks delicious. I normally go a bit lighter on the fruit and add plain, lowfat yogurt to cut down on the sugar. In addition, for those interested in using something like this as a meal replacement, the yogurt can be substituted by ice to offer a lower calorie, yet substantial, beverage.
Thanx Dena … love your idea’s … sounds delicious too
